Paradise Valley Estates, (PVE), is pleased to announce that plans have been approved for the construction of a new, comprehensive Assisted Living building. The Haskell Company, of Jacksonville, Florida, has been selected as contractor for this project.

To be completed in early 2007, this new three (3) story structure will house 40 one-bedroom “social model” apartments. The new “social model” provides a home-like environment with more independent living services.

Our residents will be able to enjoy such amenities as a community “country” kitchen, library, beauty/barber shop, spa, and a new expanded Wellness Clinic. This addition will enhance our current continuum of care.

The new 43,000 square foot Assisted Living building will be attached to the current Recreation Center, which is situated in the heart of the campus. An additional 4,200 square feet will be added to the Recreation Center to accommodate the residents ever expanding fitness program.

The Haskell Company’s on-site construction crew publishes periodic updates on the projects progress. Past “Construction News” bulletins are posted below. We will continue to post the latest project updates and photos, so go ahead and bookmark our website so that you can stay abreast of our progress.

Tennis court relocation, tennis court striping, and completed tennis court

Prior to the construction of the new Assisted Living building, relocation of the current tennis court (completed in October, 2005) and realigning of Paradise Valley Estates main entrance road will be done to provide the space needed for our new three (3) story building.

The Board of Directors, City of Fairfield dignitaries, The Haskell Company, and Paradise Valley Estates’ management participated in a ceremonial ground breaking on November 3, 2005.

Weather and timing on receipt of our building permit has put a damper on our start. The construction area has been cleared of trees. The materials for the underground drainage have been delivered causing major ruts in the saturated ground.
